    Software Test Engineer

    Job Description

    • Purpose of the job: Test and debug manufactured equipment using systematic tests, according to specifications as per the software requirements. The incumbent will create and execute manual and automated test scripts for products and system testing while following established practices and procedures and will be responsible for working through a defined set of tests and interpreting results.
    • Collaborate with development teams to gain a deep understanding of the product architecture and testing objectives.
    • Participate in software review sessions to assess newly implemented features and changes made.
    • Analyse and interpret software functionality and changes to inform test planning

    During the development process:

    • Conduct informal firmware testing alongside development engineers to identify and resolve programming errors early in the lifecycle.

    During formal testing:

    • Design comprehensive test cases to uncover defects.
    • Validate the correct implementation of software features against specifications.
    • Document and communicate test results through structured reporting.
    • Ensure thorough functional coverage across all test scenarios.
    • Define the scope of testing activities in alignment with each software release.
    • Plan, execute, and manage testing cycles, including result analysis and feedback loops.
    • Prepare and maintain detailed test documentation, including test plans, procedures, and acceptance reports.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement in software testing practices and team workflows.
    • Proactively develop technical expertise, particularly in automation tools and methodologies.
    • Support the growth and development of team members through mentorship and knowledge sharing.

    Qualifications & Experience

    Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills Requirements

    • BEng (Electronics) or BTech (Electronics) or equivalent engineering qualification.
    • 5-10 year’s of professional work experience in software development and/or testing role, ideally in embedded systems or firmware environments.
    • Solid understanding of software quality assurance principles, testing methodologies and development processes.
    • ISTQB Level Certification (Foundation or Advanced Level) is advantageous
    • Qualification or experience in technical team management or project coordination is an advantage.

    Mechanical Technician

    Job Description

    • Purpose of the job: Support a team of engineers and designers with the design, development, and optimisation of all mechanical tasks required within the organization.

    Required outputs: Functional

    • Design / re-engineer existing plant equipment and test fixtures to enhance their performance, improve reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
    • Thoroughly and effectively troubleshoot problems and implement solutions of a mechanical nature.
    • Select components, materials, finishes, and shop processes necessary to meet the design requirements.
    • Conduct research that tests and analyses the feasibility, design, operation, and performance of equipment, components, and systems.
    • Work as part of an integrated team with operations, production and engineering to ensure ease of manufacture and a quality output.

    Control Equipment Operator

    Job Description

    • Purpose of the job: To assemble high volume consumables and sub-assemblies to be used in the final production of control equipment. To diligently follow the operating instructions so that finished product is manufactured to the highest quality at the required output.

    Required outputs: Functional

    • Kit preparation and verification.
    • Quality control of raw materials.
    • Contributing to the development of operating instructions.
    • Retrieval and adherence to the latest operating instructions.

    Projects Coordinator

    Job Description

    Purpose of the job:

    • The Project Coordinator is an integral member of the project team responsible for tracking, monitoring, and scheduling DetNet’ s projects of varying size and complexity.
    • Responsibilities include working closely with the Engineering Programs Manager and Project Leaders to prepare comprehensive project plans, including schedules, resources, and budgets for projects in accordance with DetNet Design Process.
    • Coordinate programme management activities, resources, equipment, and information.
    • Break projects into tasks, actions and set timelines according to DetNet’s Design Process.
    • Assign tasks to internal teams and external teams and assist with schedule management.
    • Assist the Project Lead in the drafting and finalization of project charters, budgets, and cash flows.
    • Analyse project issues and risks.
    • Monitor project progress and resolve any issues that arise.
    • Create and maintain comprehensive programme documentation, plans, and reports.
    • Attend project meetings and assist with the determination of project requirements.
    • Track and monitor the progress of projects on the project system.
    • Provide regular reports to all stakeholders on the status and health projects.
    • Use project scheduling and control tools to monitor projects plans, work hours, budgets, and project expenditures.
    • Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to management and project team.
    • Monitor resource utilisation.
    • Liaise with consultants to prepare the required documents for the Research and Development Tax Incentive Report.

    Technical Accountant

    Job Description

    Purpose of the job:

    • To provide timely and accurate consolidated financial statements to shareholders and management of the DetNet Joint Venture to enable them to make sound and informed decisions.
    • To manage the ICM process and ensure that there are adequate internal controls covering all financial risk areas and that any inadequacies are brought to the attention of the executive. Accountable for all financial aspects of DetNet Europe.
    • Prepare annual financial statements for all DetNet entities.
    • Complete and report on the ICM Testing for all DetNet entities.
    • Manage all tasks relating to DetNet Europe entity.
    • Perform year-end and/or mid-year financial calculations and SAP year-end rollover procedures.

    • Perform month-end finance calculations and SAP month-end journals and procedures.

    • Internal audit experience or Sarbanes-Oxley experience of manufacturing entities.
    • Highly computer literate.
    • Must have excellent knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
