Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification
• Valid driver’s license
• Experience 2 Years relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Check electrification projects
• Inspect electrical systems and installations to verify compliance with approved designs, specifications, and regulatory standards.
• Verify that all electrical materials and equipment used on the site meet required quality standards and are in line with project specifications.
• Monitor contractors' adherence to occupational health and safety regulations during electrical installation processes.
• Supervise and inspect new electrical service connections, ensuring they meet the required standards for safe operation and proper functionality.
• Identify and report any instances of non-compliance with approved plans, specifications, or safety regulations.
• Issue non-compliance notices or "tamping letters" to property owners for corrective action.
• Show electrical services using the cable locator
• Attend meetings for new projects
• Planning for new mini- substation and kiosk
• Provide reports on site matter, including inspections, progress, safety concerns and cause for delay
• Provide a service at all times to the project manager, by ensuring that the standards of work and the materials supplied by contractors are as specified in accordance with the contract information
• Mini-substation inspection
