AHRI’s research combines population, basic and translational, social, and clinical sciences to understand and intervene in the health and well-being of South African communities. AHRI works in partnership with local communities and South African academic, governmental, and other policy stakeholders and collaborates with over 60 institutions globally.     Clinical Research Assistant - Durban

    Requirements

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Grade 12 (Standard 10)
    • Computer literate, proficient in Ms Office, email and internet
    • Basic HIV counselling certificate (Ten-day course)
    • Adherence counselling certificate (Five-day course)
    • Knowledge, ability and experience of working with smart phones, tablets and applications.

    Minimum Experience

    • 1-2 years of research experience in collecting qualitative and or quantitative data capturing.
    • Previous experience as a community health worker or providing home-based care.

    Advantageous 

    • A good understanding of the areas from a geographic, cultural, and healthcare perspective.
    • Experience in HIV counselling individual and group facilitation.
    • GCP compliant and knowledge of medical terminology
