Clinical Technician

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To maintain medical equipment, as well as provide technical support to users of medical equipment within the Hospital.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
- Provide Technical Support for HospitalPerform requested technical jobs within the Hospital
- Identify and control risk in the technical environment within the Hospital
- Coordinate / manage work done by on-site contractors within the Hospital
- Perform office administration duties within Technical Department
- Build and maintain stakeholder relations and client service within the Technical Department
Required Education

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
- 1 year experiential training within Mediclinic OR
- 1 year Clinical Engineering experience within healthcare industry
Desired Experience
- 3 years Clinical Engineering experience within healthcare industry
Required Experience

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION
- National Diploma in Electrical Engineering: light current or clinical engineering
DESIRED EDUCATION
- Diploma in Clinical Engineering
Required Job Skills And Knowledge
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
- Financial principles (of cost benefit and investment analysis)
- Infection control
- Mediclinic Policies and Procedures (e.g. utilisation of test equipment)
- Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Planned Maintenance procedures (Medical equipment and X ray)
- SAP and Utilisation of SAP reports
