Code 14 Truck Driver at Ellahi Consulting

Job Purpose

• To ensure the secure transportation, loading, and offloading of seafood products in accordance with instructions, while upholding food safety, quality standards, and timely deliveries.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric or equivalent.
• Valid Code 14 Driver’s license with no endorsements.
• Experience needed: Experience with cold store trucks advantageous.
• 3-5 years proven track record operating a truck in compliance with the relevant Code 14 requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical and safety compliance
• Drive safely and adhere to road regulations
• Maintain the security of goods in transit
• Follow scheduled delivery routes and times
• Ensure delivery notes and invoices are accurately completed
• Comply with customer and supplier delivery area protocols
• Uphold Food Safety and Quality procedures at all times
• Assist with manual loading/offloading of stock when required
• Immediately report any delays or inability to meet delivery targets to the line manager
