Commercial Attorney at Robert Walters

An exciting in-house opportunity based in Cape Town exists for a commercial lawyer with 4+ years post-admission experience, looking to take the next step in their career!
Job Description:

• Working on various projects with a team of lawyers, primarily from a commercial law and financial services perspective
• Drafting and negotiating derivatives agreements and the accompanying collateral documentation, repurchase and securities lending agreements (ISDA, CSA, GMRA and GMSLA) together with the required due diligence associated with these agreements (including review of netting, collateral and diligence opinions)
• Supporting a global client base on a range of increasingly sophisticated services, ranging from contract management to M&A
• Carrying out the compliance exercise in line with the current regulatory landscape.

Candidate Requirements:

• Admitted Attorney
• 4+ years' corporate commercial post-admission experience at a law firm or in-house legal department
• In-house experience advantageous
• Exposure to asset management and/or a strong banking and finance background is advantageous
