Our client, a highly respected and growing name in the insurance broking sector, is looking for a talented Commercial Insurance Internal Broker to join their team. Responsibilities:
Client & Relationship Management: Act as the primary internal contact for commercial clients, handling day-to-day queries, policy amendments, and providing expert advice on risk management and coverages.
Renewals & New Business: Manage the end-to-end renewal process. Gather underwriting data, negotiate competitive quotes with top insurers, and prepare stellar client presentations while identifying cross-selling opportunities.
Insurer Liaison: Build and leverage strong relationships with underwriters to secure the best terms, conditions, and premiums for your clients.
Compliance & Admin: Ensure flawless policy administration (schedules, debit notes, confirmations) on the broker management system, while strictly adhering to SA regulatory standards (FAIS, FICA, TCF).
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Matric (Grade 12). A relevant tertiary qualification in Insurance, Risk, or Finance is highly advantageous.
Regulatory Compliance (Strictly Required):
Full FAIS credits (minimum 150 credits) for Short-Term Insurance: Commercial Lines.
Completed RE5 (Representative) exam.
Continuous Professional Development (CPD) hours fully up to date.
Experience: 3 to 5 years of proven experience as an internal broker, underwriter, or account handler specifically within Commercial Short-Term Insurance.
Systems Knowledge: Proficiency in broker administration systems (e.g., Cardinal, SSP, Ski) and MS Office (especially Excel).
