    Commercial Specialist

    The Role:
    The successful incumbent will be responsible for supporting the preparation, approval and management of quotations, tenders and negotiations for contracts, ensuring the highest quality standards are met, commercial risk is minimized and that Sandvik & Kwatani’s governance policies are adhered to.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Work with sales & supply/sourcing teams within the business to formally manage the commercial risk assessment of all quotations and contracts.
    • Input and assist with drafting of quotes and contracts ensuring the highest quality standards are met and compliance with Kwatani & Sandvik’s governance policies while meeting the requirements of the business.
    • Review contracts/terms and conditions and produce qualifications and contract mark ups/changes in conjunction with key stakeholders and in alignment with defined minimum commercial and legal conditions and identifying potential contract risks.
    • Ensure contractual terms & conditions deviations are approved according to Sandvik & Kwatani governance policies
    • Coordinate the tender/quote process and collate necessary documents to ensure a correct, timely and compliant submission
    • Participate in and/or lead contract negotiations

    Your Profile:

    • Degree – Bcom Law/LLB Law/Bcom Accounting
    • 4+ years’ experience in the review, preparation, drafting, negotiation and management of contract documents.
    • Experience within the mining and/or heavy construction industries (advantageous)
    • Understanding of contract principles and legal terms and conditions

    • Ability to cope with pressure and tight deadlines
