Communication Officer: Communication and Language Service Department
To provide strategic internal communication support to the FSCA and various internal stakeholders. The person appointed will report to the Media and Stakeholder Relations.
Key Performance Areas:
Develop a clear, consistent, and effective communications plan and framework for both internal and external initiatives of the FSCA.
Coordinate communication with various departments, prepare presentations and reports for internal and external initiatives, and gather content for publications and internal memos.
Identify communication gaps and propose innovative methods to improve internal and external communication within the FSCA.
Work closely with core departments to support their communication needs regarding business updates, strategies, and company initiatives.
Initiate and drive internal communication campaigns to engage employees and promote organisational messages effectively.
Represent the Communication and Language Services department in internal meetings and collaborate with other departments to gather content for publications.
Write clear, concise content for publications, review, format, and edit existing materials for final release, ensuring consistency in messaging.
Act as a data repository, maintain databases/media lists, and gather content for FSCA digital platforms.
Provide input, development, and execution of Communication and Language initiatives, attending project-related meetings and activities.
Ensure all communication activities comply with required quality and compliance standards, including adherence to FSCA brand/marketing policies and standards.
Support management in achieving both business continuity plan and stakeholder engagement objectives and through effective communication strategies and relationship-building efforts.
Prepare and compile media statements/releases, act as a point of contact for media inquiries, and enhance relations with the media and other key stakeholders.

Good report writing and analytical skills, innovative thinking and planning skills, ability to engage with senior staff within the organisation, ability to function independently, advanced computer literacy, good presentation skills and networking abilities, ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Requirements
Matric certificate and diploma in bachelor’s degree/B Tech in Corporate Communications/ BA: Corporate Communications/Marketing Communications/Journalism/English/Media Studies or equivalent qualification plus 1 to 2 years’ experience in a Communication and Language Services environment.
