Communication Officer (Digital Platform and Content Development at The Department of Mineral Resources

REQUIREMENTS:

• National Diploma in Communication / Public Relations/ Journalism / Multimedia, (NQF 6)

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• minimum of 2 years’ experience in communication environment

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

• Knowledge of layout and design, Knowledge of publications, Knowledge and understanding of DMPR policies, functions, projects etc Government policies, Projects/programs in DMPR,
• Skills: Communication skills( verbal and written), Management and organisational skills, Computer skills, interpersonal skills, Analytical skills, Organising and Coordination Facilitation and implementation, Well-developed interpersonal relationships at all levels, Creativity and innovation, Knowledge and understanding of DMPR policies, functions, programme and be able to articulate and communicate its mission, vision , values and legislative mandate

DUTIES:

• Maintain web content on the website and intranet. Provide web content support. Cultivate the departments online profile and administer its digital reputation. Perform the activities pertain to content development.
