Position: Compliance Officer
Main Job Purpose:
Ensure all our relevant Staff, Products and Facilities are certified / accredited and the certifications / accreditations are maintained accordingly.
Interface with regulation bodies locally and internationally on all requirements that affect us and our customers.
Ensure that Engineering Team, Test Team & Manufacturing Team are kept informed with details of the latest standards and legal requirements of products as they are being developed.
Track, drive, and report on progress of all product submissions for certification / accreditation.
Job Specification:
At early stages of projects, assist technical teams by doing research towards legal and technical standards that products and manufacturing facilities need to comply with.
Assist with providing the validation team with documentation of the standards as well as procedures to follow when testing products.
Be responsible for keeping teams informed about changes in local and international standards such as Legal Metrology acts, Health & Safety standards, and STS prepayment standards.
Assist business development managers by doing research towards standards in tenders.
Assist with writing SOP documents used to regulate the procedures that need to be followed to certify products.
Be the custodian of all documentation that relates to the certification and accreditation of all products and manufacturing processes. (This includes managing updates and version control)
Education and Experience:
Technical qualification, degree or diploma, either, electronic or mechanical, +5yrs.
Experience with standards such as STS, NRCS 1529, IEC 6068, IEC 60950, JASWIC, WRAS, AS 3565, RED 220, ISO 4064, OIML R49, CE etc. declaration will be valued, +5yrs.
Prior knowledge of “water metering” products will be advantageous.
Report writing essential.
