    Compliance Operations Officer

    Job Description

    Responsibilities 

    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to maintain and strengthen the compliance framework.
    • Investigate potential breaches and address compliance concerns proactively.
    • Oversee the end-to-end process of complaint handling, including review, registration, and resolution.
    • Ensure all compliance-related documents are accurately uploaded and securely maintained.
    • Resolve Fit and Proper status queries in line with regulatory expectations.
    • Regularly review and update compliance manuals, procedures, and supporting documentation.
    • Provide regulatory insights and suggest improvements to ensure ongoing alignment with the FAIS General Code of Conduct (GCOC).

    Requirements

    • A BCom Law or LLB degree.
    • Registered FSCA Compliance Officer (Category I).
    • Possession of a valid RE 1 Certificate.
    • 3–4 years of compliance experience within the financial services industry.
    • Strong working knowledge of FAIS, FICA, and other relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks.
    • Previous experience supporting or working with Financial Advisers or Financial Planners.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
