JOB DESCRIPTION

We need a new Computer Operator to make sure the hamster wheel keeps turning.

You would oversee the running of IT systems on a contract basis, by monitoring, logging, troubleshooting, escalating, and reporting critical jobs, data transmission and environmental threats (power, floods, fire) to drive IT stability, minimise downtime and ensure all processes are completed timeously with quality. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• 24/7 Monitoring of data transmission, critical jobs, relevant dashboards.
• Performing daily health checks
• Fine tuning of configuration to maintain performance and functionality of the monitoring solutions in place.
• Incident Management
• First line troubleshooting of incidents with specific focus on data management.
• Identifying, escalating and following up of Priority 1 incidents until closure to external vendors or internal departments detailing specifics of an issue on hand.
• Performing defined/documented tasks as per Company Run Controls.
• Complete special added tasks (mainly data related)

QUALIFICATIONS

• You have a relevant IT Qualification (Or are currently studying towards one)
• You have a minimum of 1 year IT support experience within a network or server monitoring role
• Your Office365 skills are great, specifically in Excel
• You understand SQL and database structures
• You’re able to work shifts (day, night, and weekends)
• You have access to your own vehicle 2
