Content Marketing Lead

Tencent Africa Services is looking for a Content Marketing Lead to join the team. As the Content Marketing Lead, you will be required to:

• Build the profile of one of the biggest, fastest growing tech companies in the world;
• Evangelize about products and services that just make life better;
• Work with smart, curious people at the bleeding edge of technology;
• Take on a challenging, exciting role to flex our content creation skills of persuasion across B2B and B2C stakeholders across the tech, music and entertainment verticals on all mediums including in-app and out of app platforms.

Key performance objectives:

Handling all aspects of planned and and the execution of Marketing content campaigns and PR/social media activities.

Tasks include but may not be limited to:

• Planning content marketing strategies and campaigns;
• Content creation: 

1. Web copy tasting and news content for site;
2. Press releases & milestone announcements;
3. Thought-leadership content;
4. Artist stories;
5. Social media content plus amplification and management of budgets;
6. LinkedIn profiling – content for Joox spokespeople.

• Create and maintain relationships with key media stakeholders;
• Writing and producing presentations;
• Dealing with enquiries from the public, the press, and related organisations;
• Organising and attending promotional events such as press conferences, open days, exhibitions, tours and visits;
• Providing internal and external stakeholders with information about new opportunities and current JOOX campaigns;
• Analysing and measuring media coverage across all platforms – print, digital, social, on air
• Commissioning or undertaking relevant market research to inform comms. strategy for B2B and B2C;
• Liaising with clients, managerial and journalistic staff about budgets, timescales and objectives;
• Supporting the Marketing team strategy and implementation. Work can involve working on websites, app, social media and writing and/or producing presentations, reports, articles, leaflets, journals and brochures for both external and internal distribution.

Requirements:

• You will need a degree level qualification, preferably in communication.
• A PR / journalism post-graduate or professional qualification is a bonus.
• Minimum 5 years + relevant experience in house and/or agency or publisher side required.
