    Content Marketing Manager

    Purpose of the Position:

    • This dynamic person would be responsible for articulating and telling the DStv brand story through authentic, purpose-built content distributed via paid media channels, strategic brand and influencer partnerships, and culturally insightful thought-leadership efforts. We're looking for a creatively ambitious, performance-driven candidate to lead the execution of strategic Content Marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of paid media and ad technology, creative advertising functions, possess an operational and project managerial mindset, and have strong collaborative and communication skills.

    Key Performance Objectives

    Tasks

    Content Marketing Strategy & Operational Excellence

    • Execute complex, cross-functional, and cross-channel Brand Marketing and Brand & Influencer Programs
    • Design, build and maintain the Multichoice digital presence
    • Work with the SM to map out a content strategy that supports and extends marketing initiatives, both short- and long-term, determining which methods work for the brand and why - Continuous evolvement of strategy is a must
    • Integration of content activities within traditional marketing campaigns
    • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
    • Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies
    • Ensure consistent global experience and implement appropriate localization/translation strategies
    • Plan, execute and measure experiments and conversion tests
    • Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points
    • Draft & execute digital consumer journey mapping
    • Collaborate with agencies and other vendor partners
    • Evaluate emerging technologies; provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate

    Budgeting, Planning & Organizing

    • Deliver impactful and cost-effective marketing plans
    • Monitor, analyse and report on competitive marketing strategies
    • Manage budgets and timelines for paid media & creative production initiatives

    People Management

    • Manage team members to ensure effective delivery of business unit objectives
    • Develop a high performing team by embedding formal performance processes
    • Determine and analyse development needs for the team and ensure that identified training requirements are budgeted for and executed
    • Approve leave requests for team members and create a leave plan to ensure adequate coverage
    • When required, initiate disciplinary processes for team members calling on support from Senior Manager in the team when required
    • Resolve grievances raised by team members and escalate only if required
    • Address poor performance of any team member through the formal Performance improvement programme and ensure that continued poor performance is appropriately dealt with
    • Motivate team members and ensure that their efforts are recognised

    Qualifications

    • Degree in Marketing, related degree or relevant experience
    • Post Grad advantageous

    Experience

    • At least 4-6 years’ relevant professional experience in digital marketing, content, production, media, advertising and/or journalism
    • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and excel in a lean work environment
