Contract Finance Accountant (CU MTN) at Ericsson

We are now looking for a MMEA Contract Finance Accountant who is responsible for the contract assessment and determining the right accounting treatment of our customer business. You will engage with stakeholders in pre-sales and secure the right information to perform the Deal Revenue Recognition Evaluation & Structuring (DRRES). You will be responsible to secure adherence to accounting directives and the Order to Invoice (O2I) process during pre-sales and Project execution. You will work in close collaboration with finance stakeholders like Project Control and Company Control and advise stakeholders in pre-sales (account managers, commercial directors, price managers) on accounting implications and treatments.

You will

• Provide Accounting Directive advice during Pre-Sales prior to SDP3 to evaluate financial accounting risks during execution
• Perform contract assessment and act according to Accounting Directives e.g. review by Complex Deal Board or AD09 Champion
• Secure input to Deal Revenue Recognition Evaluation and Structuring (DRRES)
• Secure the relevant pricing documents to support allocations & vouchers etc.
• Maintain CU voucher tracker to secure visibility of marketing offers agreed with the customer
• Perform Revenue Recognition Evaluation in DRRES including Contract assessment, Risk- and AD09 treatment
• Perform Deal Structuring in DRRES and guide stakeholders for the best set-up of projects in SAP
• Prepare & present quarterly contract reassessments with Company Control
• Complete specific periodic accounting activities e.g. assessment of loss provisions, implied financing etc.
• Review and sign off CA SOX key controls as "Local Sub Process Reviewer"
• Coordinate Contract Assessments related to audit & accounting requests
• Drive standardization & adherence to Contract Assessment & Accounting within the CU

To be successful in the role you must have

• Degree in Finance / Accounting or Business Administration.
• At least 5 years of experience in relevant position
• Deep understanding of Financial Model and Accounting Directives (i.e. IFRS15)
• Ability to assess and evaluate customer contracts and make accounting interpretations
• Excellent knowledge of SAP in order decide on the right structuring of contract/purchase orders
• Experienced in Financial Analysis, Accounting & Reporting in a project environment
• Expert understanding of SOX framework, ABC controls and Finance Mandate
• Business understanding in areas of Networks, Managed Services and Digital Services.
• Capable of deciding & initiating action to secure compliance and adherence to accounting directives
• Excellent in persuading and influencing stakeholders
• Strong communication skills, fluent in English
