    Contract Specialist T&I (Turnarounds & Inspection)

    Purpose of Job

    • To oversee, co-ordinate and perform Contract Management on all new or existing Contracts within designated portfolio - throughout the project and/or term contracts life cycle. Take accountability for contractual change management, deviation management and approvals in terms of the Delegation of Authority (DoA). To lead and execute all aspects related to the establishment and management of contracts for a portfolio ofbcontracts including contracts negotiations, in support of Natref’s strategy.Standby is required.

    Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities

    •  Control the number and quantum of changes, claims and disputes by proactively managing adherence to obligations of both Natref and Contractors. 
    •  Ensure that all business requirements are understood and that expectations are clarified in advance of the contract work to be executed. 
    •  Ensure that existing contracts remain valid notwithstanding any changes in Natref internal and external environment which may require a change in strategy. 
    •  Pre-empt/identify, evaluate and advise on and manage all potential contractual problems, issues and risks within the contract portfolio. 
    •  Embed contracts and monitor performance to ensure potential benefits realisation. Interfacing and co-ordination with end users on plant maintenance, T&I support as well as Projects Teams.1. 
    •  Enable contract benefits/value release through the delivery of a water-tight and cost effective contracting capability. Minimised number of contractual breaches for which Natref is financially liable or which would negatively affect Natrefs reputation. Contract performance against expected contract opportunities. Reduction in contract management costs. 
    •  Prepare, negotiate and administer all contracts within a portfolio in accordance with Natref policies and legal requirements. 
    •  Ensure 100% Legal and Natref Supply Chain policy compliance. 
    •  Implement effective methods to maximise on-contract spend within the contracting portfolio. 
    •  Ensure 100% on-time contract availability. 
    •  New/amended contracts communicated in a timely and appropriate manner to Departments within Natref. 
    •  % increase of on-contract spend within portfolio, over a period of time. 
    •  Prepare regular reports regarding contract status, compliance and modifications/amendments. 
    •  Monthly reports on contract status, contract leakage, compliance and modification. 
    •  Respond to inquiries regarding contract terms and conditions, and contracting processing requirements and guidelines. 
    •  Respond as per agreed SLA's. Manage non-conformances diligently and with due urgency. 
    •  Ensure that robust contract management and review processes and procedures are in place to manage and mitigate risk in the organisation. 
    •  Ensure end users are trained in and honour the contract terms and conditions as stipulated in the agreement. 
    •  Monitor and address supplier performance issues. 
    •  Contracts database/register is maintained. 
    •  Governance, Risk and Legal Compliance. Ensure no of C or D internal audit ratings or any material audit findings (establish and maintain sound and effective internal control environment). 
    •  Ensure compliance to relevant laws and regulations. 
    •  Ensure compliance to legal, safety, health and environment.

    Formal Education

    • BTech University Bachelors Degree (South Africa)
    • University Bachelors Degree

    Min Experience

    • 6+ years relevant Supply Chain experience
    • SAP MM experience (must)
    • Microsoft Office and others
    • NEC and Sasol/Natref term agreement contract experience
    • Drivers' licence
