System Monitoring: Continuously monitor systems, equipment, and alarms to ensure the smooth operation of the facility or service. This may include monitoring of energy systems, production lines, communication systems, or other critical infrastructure.
Incident Response: React promptly to any disruptions, alarms, or emergencies. Assess and troubleshoot issues as they arise, and follow appropriate protocols for resolution.
Reporting: Maintain accurate logs of activities, incidents, and operational status. Provide detailed reports on any issues or irregularities to management and relevant departments.
Communication: Maintain effective communication with other operators, supervisors, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination and response to operational changes or emergencies.
Data Management: Collect, record, and analyze operational data. Use software tools and systems to identify trends, inefficiencies, or potential hazards.
Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and emergency protocols when needed.
Routine Checks: Conduct regular equipment checks to identify signs of wear or malfunction. Schedule maintenance activities as required.
Shift Handover: Ensure a smooth handover of responsibilities to incoming shifts, providing clear and comprehensive updates on system status, incidents, or ongoing issues.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Relevant technical certifications or training in control systems, operations, or a related field is preferred.
Experience: Previous experience in a control room, monitoring, or operations environment is highly desirable. Experience in sectors such as manufacturing, utilities, telecommunications, or energy is a plus.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in using control room software, monitoring systems, and other relevant tools. Basic knowledge of troubleshooting systems and equipment is required.
Attention to Detail: Strong ability to monitor multiple systems simultaneously and identify irregularities or potential issues quickly.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to ensure clear reporting and effective team collaboration.
Problem-solving skills: Ability to think critically and make decisions under pressure, especially during emergencies or system failures.
Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities efficiently, often in a fast-paced environment.
Experience:
At least 2-3 years of experience in a Control room or security-related role.
