    Coordinator - Inventory

     


    About the role

    We are extremely excited to announce that we are on the lookout for a Coordinator - Inventory to be based in our regional offices in Rosebank, Johannesburg.
    The primary purpose of this critical role is to be accountable for stock reconciliation process for manufacturing, and local customers. The successful candidate will provide an accurate record of physical inventory reflected in the system and reduce the write on/write off stock.  
    In addition, the Inventory coordinator will provide cross functional support for the South Africa business to ensure continuity of supply. This role will report to the Lead - Distribution.

    What you will be doing

    • Perform all tasks following Health and Safety as a top priority;
    • Adhere to KPI’s set in line with safety standards;
    • Performing all inventory movement activities both physical and in the system;
    • Ensuring that the products within the warehouse are not damaged, lost or mishandled;
    • Ensuring that all legal requirements for dangerous goods storage are always met;
    • Manage legal requirements for movement of dangerous goods for imports and exports 
    • Ensure continuity of supply to customer sites in South Africa;
    • Support new customer site mobilisation in South Africa;
    • Support the movement of engineering equipment to and from South Africa;
    • Support manufacturing sites with inventory control;
    • Manage inventory accuracy and reduce slow moving inventory;
    • Conduct stock count as per set KPI’s;
    • Manage DIFOT as per KPI’s;
    • Manage freight movement and updates on the system;
    • Liaise with suppliers for collections;
    • Implementing best practices and look for opportunities to improve efficiency, increase safety within the warehouse and reduce costs for the organization;
    • Maintain landed cost register to monitor cost of all products in country;
    • Develop and maintain solid working relationships with internal and external customers.

    What you will bring

    • Higher education in logistics / supply chain is preferable;
    • Knowledge and understanding of SHES requirements and regulations covering the storage and distribution of dangerous goods;
    • Experience in dangerous goods handling;
    • All Legal certificates required to handle dangerous goods and explosives;
    • Import and export experience;
    • Experience with SAP Material Management module and Microsoft office Suite.
