    Corporate Manager: Central Reservations

    Description:

    The Organisation requires the services of a Corporate Manager: Central Reservations in the Tourism and Marketing Division. This position will be based at Groenkloof National Park, Pretoria.

    Requirements:

    • Be in possession of an Honours in Business Management, Commerce, Tourism, Marketing or Sales.
    • Should have 5 - 8 years of experience in managing sales and reservations in a tourism/relevant environment.
    • Should have 5 years at management level.
    • Understanding of the responsible tourism strategy.
    • Understanding of sales and marketing principles.
    • Knowledge of financial reporting frameworks.
    • Understanding of the tourism industry and related trends.
    • Familiarity with revenue management principles.
    • Knowledge of reservations systems.
    • Knowledge of customer service.
    • Knowledge of people Management.
    • Knowledge of policy interpretation.
    • Knowledge of strategy and policy formulation.
    • Knowledge of communications best practices.
    • Business Acumen skills.
    • Computer literacy.
    • Communication skills (verbal and written).
    • Analytical skills and interpersonal skills.
    • Financial management skills.
    • People management skills.
    • Negotiation and selling skills.
    • Presentation skills.
    • Organisational and relationship management skills

    Responsibilities:

    • Plan, implement and direct day to day financial accounting functions for corporate.
    • Contribute to the review and development of the sale strategy including related SOPs.
    • Monitor the implementation of the corporate sales strategy.
    • Oversee implementation of corporate and reservations policies and procedures.
    • Implement and manage sales revenue targets and incentives.
    • Develop, implement, and monitor quality measures in order to improve customer service level.
    • Ensure proper utilisation of all related reservations systems (telephone, room seeker, CRM etc.)
    • Ensure risk management and internal control systems are monitored and reviewed and appropriate actions are taken.
    • Ensure compliance with sound corporate governance and financial management practices and policies.
    • Prepare financial reports based on prescribed format.
    • Ensure effective utilization of financial resources.
    • Ensure a customer-centric service delivery to both internal and external clients.
    • Ensure effective communication of, and information sharing on sales and marketing related matters.
    • Establish and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Provide leadership, ensure development and management of human capital, and effective change management and transformation within the division.
    • Mentor and coaches staff.
    • Encourages teamwork and collaboration.
