    Costing Administrator

    • A dynamic and design-driven furniture company committed to delivering tailored, high-quality solutions to interior designers, architects, and corporate clients is seeking a meticulous and proactive Costing Administrator to support their operations and quantity surveying teams.

    Minimum requirements for the role:

    • Must have a National Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
    • A relevant tertiary qualification in administration, purchasing, or operations will be an advantage
    • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar administrative or costing support role
    • Familiarity with supplier interactions and basic purchasing processes is preferred

    The successful candidate will be responsible for:

    • Receiving briefs from Sales Executives and translating them into detailed costing sheets using Excel.
    • Breaking down specifications into line-item costing with clarity and precision.
    • Ensuring all costing documents are well-formatted and error-free.
    • Contacting suppliers for up-to-date pricing, availability, and lead times.
    • Placing orders and confirming delivery arrangements when required.
    • Maintaining a directory of preferred suppliers and pricing history.
    • Providing administrative support to the Operations and Quantity Surveying teams.
    • Maintaining accurate digital and physical records of costings, quotes, and supplier interactions.
    • Assisting with internal document filing, order tracking, and general operations paperwork.
    • Double-checking pricing and item descriptions for accuracy.
    • Ensuring data entered in costing sheets and systems is consistent and up to date.
    • Demonstrating strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Showing excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
    • Communicating effectively, especially when liaising with suppliers.
    • Multi-tasking and meeting deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
