Knowledge of the Criminal Procedure Act and related legislation.
Legal knowledge (Bill of rights / Criminal procedure Act, Labour Relations, Disciplinary Procedures and Arrest Procedures and the application of this knowledge)
Criminal Court and Council Disciplinary Hearing Procedures and strategies.
Knowledge of SAPS information management systems as it relates to collecting, analysing, verifying and disseminating information
Computer Literacy (Windows 10, Microsoft Access, Word, Excel and Outlook)
A valid driver’s license (Code B or EB)

Key Performance Areas
Rendering an effective and efficient information gathering function.
Manage and handle sources of information as per the City’s Rewards for Information or Tipp-Off Programme.
Maintain registers and records and draft Field Reports associated with operational functions e.g. security operations conducted.
Ensuring the successful dissemination of actionable crime information to key role players.
Managing training and skills development and transfer of skills and knowledge.
