Crypto School: Senior Full Stack (Backend) Developer at Crypto Banter

Role Overview:

As a Senior Full Stack Developer, you will be pivotal in developing and maintaining robust systems and driving technical advancements in our applications. This role requires a strong background in backend technologies using the LAMP stack, a deep understanding of database management, frontend technologies such as React and Tailwindcss, and a proven track record in implementing security measures. You will collaborate closely with our data team to enhance the capabilities of our data dashboards, ensuring they deliver real-time, accurate, and actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

Front & Backend Development:

• Develop front & backend functionalities for high performance and scalability, using both MERN (MongoDB, Express, React, Node) and LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) stacks to drive conversion.

Database Maintenance:

• Maintain and refactor the database architecture, including complex queries, data migrations, and database optimizations. Ensure data consistency and integrity throughout the applications.

Data-Driven Development:

• Collaborate with the data team to enhance data dashboard capabilities, ensuring real-time, accurate, and reliable data visibility.

Security and Data Protection:

• Implement and ensuring data security measures such as safeguarding against SQL Injection, XSS (Cross-Site Scripting), CSRF (Cross-Site Request Forgery), and other security vulnerabilities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with UX/UI designers and product managers to ensure that backend developments align with user-centric design principles.

Technical Skills Required:

• Expertise in Backend Technologies & Frontend Proficiency:
• Expertise in PHP, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, Node, React, Laravel, Tailwind, Bootstrap, Express, and React .
• API development and server-side logic.
• Frontend integration and optimization.

Database Management:

• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases; including MySQL, MongoDB, etc., focusing on data integrity, speed and normalization.

Analytics and Testing Tools:

• Strong experience with data analytics platforms like Mixpanel/Amplitude/Heap/PostHog, Google Analytics

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in full-stack development, with a strong focus on optimization and refactoring.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Previous experience in the cryptocurrency or fintech industry is highly desirable.
• Experience building robust and scalable systems from scratch.
• Experience in high traffic systems design.
