Data Analyst at Huawei Technologies

Purpose of the position:

Serving as Digital Analyst in the Southern Africa Region's Marketing and Solution Sales Department. Provide digital transformation support to marketing development in the region by data analysing and reporting. This role requires data modelling and data analysing to continuously think about business development, management, and analysis in order to bring value to the organisation.

Major Compulsory Responsibilities

Compulsory Responsibilities: Using the data analysis platform, carry out multi-dimensional insight analysis algorithms and reports for customers marketing and network insight.

• Data Cleaning: according to the unified and standard data format requirements of the platform clean the raw data. Support the representative office to set up the comprehensive data base.
• Data Modelling: create and optimise the common data models of each business domain to make the data analysable and reusable easily.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Design multi-dimensional cross domain data analysis algorithm to process the data models, and design data reports according to the business requirements.
• Create Data Reporting Story: Orchestrate the data reports to create engagement stories according specified logic.

Required Education / Qualifications:

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Bachelor’s Degree or above in Computer Science, Information System, IT Technology, Telecommunication, Mathematics, Automation, Statistics or related qualifications will be an advantage.

Required /Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience

• Minimum 2 years of data analysis related experience.
• Experience in Designed and optimised networks for telecom companies and experience in data analysis, network optimisation, and network design.
• Work background in telecommunication companies, or consultant companies such as Accenture and Freelancer are preferred.

Required Competencies/Attributes:

• Experience in database design and management.
• Proven data analysis programming skills, can program in SQL and Python in the high-level skill.
• Knowledge of statistics and experience of reporting design by using BI platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, etc.
• Technical writing experience in relevant areas, including queries, reports, and presentations.
• Ability to work as a team member
• Telecom industry related work experience and familiar with wireless, IP or transmission network.
