About the job

• We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who will turn data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions. The candidate should be adept at using large data sets to find opportunities for product and process optimisation and using models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action. Responsibilities include conducting full lifecycle analysis to include requirements, activities and design. Furthermore, the incumbent will develop analysis and reporting capabilities, monitor performance and quality control plans to identify improvements. Ultimately the Data Analyst will discover solutions hidden in data and work with a variety of stakeholders to improve business outcomes.

Remuneration

• R45k - R50k CTC per month

 Responsibilities

•      Work with stakeholders throughout the organisation to identify opportunities for leveraging company data, to drive business solutions
•      Mine, analyse and interpret data and trends to drive optimisation and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies
•      Use predictive modeling to increase and optimise customer experience/s, revenue generation, advert targeting and other business outcomes
•      To develop, implement and maintain databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
•      Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyse model performance and data accuracy.
•      To filter and “clean” data by reviewing reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
•      To work with management to prioritise business and information needs
•      To locate and define new process improvement opportunities

Experience

•      At least 3-5 years' experience as a data analyst, business data analyst or related field
•      Experience in data analysis and visualisation tools (e.g. SQL, QlikView, PowerBI etc.)
•      Experience in data and statistical modelling tools such as R or Python
•      Experience visualizing/presenting data for stakeholders

Qualifications

•      Degree in computer sciences, information management, statistics, mathematics or economics
