Job Description & Summary
A career in our Oracle Risk Assurance practice, within Information Technology Risk Assurance will allow you to develop and apply strategies that help clients leverage enterprise technologies so they can get a higher return on their investment, mitigate risks, streamline processes, and find operational inefficiencies. As a manager in our practice you’ll have the opportunity to develop your career whilst driving the growth of our business. As part of a market-leading D&A team, you’ll be helping new and existing clients deliver technology and data solutions to streamline their data management processes, gather insights and deliver engaging reporting tools and data visualizations as well as supporting core assurance teams. This will be on specialised projects as well as Internal and External Audit Engagements.
Job Responsibilities:
- This role involves designing CAATs to respond to audit risks, assisting in managing resources, determining data requirements, executing the data analysis and CAATs, as well as drafting and reporting of findings in written format.
- Develop analytics for all areas of the audit process (risk assessment, controls testing and outcomes testing)
- You must be able to interface with several stakeholder groups including our consulting partners, auditors, clients, and team members in other lines of service.
- Familiarity with approaches of applying data and analytics to solve questions of business strategy for clients.
- Storytelling – building storyboards and other presentations targeted at senior business audience. Could be in PowerPoint or other presentation media (videos, interactive presentations, etc)
- Ability to be able to create competitive analyses for potential products, drive appropriate approaches and develop preliminary business cases – refining them all as emergent information arises.
- Articulate and passionate verbal communicator – comfortable communicating with all of our stakeholders (partners, consultants & clients).
Knowledge and Experience
Some knowledge or experience in each of the five areas below is valuable.
- Data Storage Technologies (i.e. SQL, Oracle, NoSQL, Hadoop, MSFT Access, etc.)
- Data Manipulation and Analysis Languages (i.e. Python, R, SAS, DAX etc.)
- Data Manipulation and Analysis Software (i.e Alteryx, IDEA, ACL, Excel (Advanced))
- Visualization Technologies (i.e. D3/HTML Visualizations, Tableau/QlikView/PowerBI/etc.)
- Intermediate understanding of Auditing and Accounting concepts (i.e Risk and controls, audit process and accounting/finance data reports)
- Experience on performing data analysis on SAP, PeopleSoft, Sage systems, JD Edwards and other ERP systems would be beneficial.
- 4+ years of broad technology expertise in web-based systems architecture, service-based architecture, enterprise application architecture as well as experience managing expectations when balancing alternatives against business and financial constraints
- 4+ years of progressive hands-on technical experience as well as 3+ years of full life-cycle software development experience including leading multi discipline development teams.
- Ability to grasp a range of functional and non-functional requirements to understand the application scope to define the right architecture including solution components and the interactions
- Experience with data architecture, data modelling and relational databases.
- Experience with Hadoop, NoSQL and other Big Data technologies will be considered a plus.
- Experience of working in a consulting or assurance firm will be advantageous
