    Data Integration Specialist

    Job Purpose

    • You will be expected to provide advanced data analytics and insights to support the Bakery Sales division. The role focuses on integrating diverse bakery sales data sets, refining pricing and promotional strategies, guiding decision-making, and enabling the sales team to optimise performance and improve marginal contribution across all bakery categories.

    Role and Responsibilities

    • Collate, clean and integrate data from multiple internal and external sources (syndicated data, competition, desk research, etc.) to support continuous refinement of the bread pricing strategy.
    • Analyse all internal and external bakery sales reports to identify market trends, opportunities and insights across all channels.
    • Compare competitive options and assess the impact on volume, revenue, profit and market share to support pricing strategy recommendations.
    • Track bakery SKU performance against pricing and promotional compliance requirements and compare Premier’s performance to competitors.
    • Maintain SKU P&L models for various markets and run simulations as required to support strategic decision making.
    • Develop and maintain dashboards and databases for SKU marginal contribution by region and team, in collaboration with the IT BI team.
    • Analyse consumer promotion effectiveness by product and customer; interpret pricing and promotion performance against strategic intent.
    • Conduct ROI analyses of trade spend and provide insights on elasticity and profitability at granular levels.
    • Lead process and system design for new bakery data projects, including research, benchmarking and implementation of data best practices.
    • Provide required data inputs for project scoping and business cases.
    • Conduct field research (DILO’s) to gain practical insights.
    • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in bakery sales information management processes.
    • Participate in Bakery Sales Management Invocoms and contribute to corrective and preventative action initiatives.

    Qualification Requirements    

    • A degree in Data Science / Analytics
    • Experience with BI tools, reporting and data modelling   

    Experience Requirements    

    • 3–5 years’ experience in a sales-related administration or analytics role
    • Experience within an FMCG environment 

    Skills and Competencies    
    Expected job related knowledge/Skills

    • Advanced data analysis ability (quantitative & qualitative) and strong understanding of data analytical tools.
    • Proficiency in statistical techniques, data visualisation principles and analytical methodologies.
    • Ability to interpret financial and accounting principles for SKU performance evaluation.
    • Strong MS Office capability, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Experience using BI tools (Power BI) to build dashboards and reports.
    • Competency in root cause analysis and problem-solving.
    • Understanding of SQL/programming principles and agile project management (advantageous).
    • Ability to translate insights into actionable business and strategic recommendations.
    • Business acumen with understanding of market dynamics, revenue drivers, promotions, pricing and profitability impacts.
