Data Warehousing Specialist - Johannesburg at Glencore

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:

• Support with input to establish Project Budgets as required.
• Monitor budget expenditure and exceptions.
• Project Tracking and Reporting on deviations
• Project Risk and Issues Management
• Logistics and planning coordination
• Implement systems reporting and budget systems using best practices to the business.
• Provide third level support to the business.
• Collect and interpret business requirements (e.g., functional, and technical, information needs, business processes) through information-gathering sessions.
• Analyse information gathered, document business requirements AS-IS and map to TO-BE models.
• Prepare functional & technical specs as per business requirements.
• Develop and implement Reports & Dashboards, as well as CDS- & Database views
• Monitor and close ServiceNow tickets as per SLA requirements.
• Provide support on business applications or infrastructure to maintain productivity levels. 
• Execute functionality testing, testing methodologies, processes, and tools, including unit, integration, system, regression, and dry run testing.
• Coordinate execution of project tasks in functional area.
• Provide support and advise business applications or infrastructure to maintain productivity level. 
• Collaborate with business decision makers and end users on queries and problem resolution.
• Maintain development of Analysis for Office for Global Copper.
• Design and implement detailed Data warehouse models and data mappings.
• Responsible for linking into 3rd party systems and automate reporting.

Implement and maintain governance in the following areas:

• Power BI
• SQL Server Datawarehouse
• Analysis for Office
• Budgeting, Planning and Consolidation
• Train and support Business for Power BI, AfO, Budgeting, Planning and Consolidation
• Automate the existing manual process.
• Provide Level 3 support to site super users and end users as required.
• Maintain SAP copper documentation and templates and provide to template owners.
• Provide Training to SMEs on relevant upskilling requirements.
• Collaborate and engage with global business process owners.
• Collate and report on Comprehensive Incident management details.
• Provide Transport management reporting solutions.
• Analyze and implement Process improvements as required.
• Monitor SAP Reporting related to business processes.
• Execute on SAP Reporting bug fixes implementation.

• Copper Commercial Service functions (Transactional Services, Vendor Management, Compliance, Legal Services)

QUALIFICATION & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• BSc / B.Com Degree or Diploma equivalent
• Certification in a Programming language
• S/4 HANA Experience

Work Experience:

• Minimum 10 years of BAP and Reporting systems experience plus at least 3 full cycle implementations.
• Strong experience in a support environment.
• Excellent understanding of accounting, budgeting, reporting and finance processes.
• Knowledge of IFRS accounting standards.
