    Debtors Clerk (DC Clearing) 9 Months Maternity Cover

    We are looking for Debtors Clerk (DC Clearing) to work on a 9 months maternity cover contract. This position reports to the DC Clearing Supervisor, the purpose of this role is to ensure DC clearing is done between Customer and Vendor accounts

    Minimum Requirements    

    • 2-3 years debtors, or creditors experience (Preferred)
    • Matric/N3 or equivalent
    • Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) experience (Preferred)
    • SAP literacy will be an advantage
    • Be able to work with figures

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    • Reconcile DC Vendor and Customer accounts
    • Identify price differences between DC Vendor and Customer accounts
    • Prepare journals for price adjustments to correct these differences
    • Ensure adherence to tax legislation and requirements
    • Identify any other issues, including outstanding DC credits and store goods receipts
    • Review all outstanding DC returns credits with the accountant
    • Review long outstanding goods receipts of older customer billings with the accountant
    • Creates monthly age analysis per DC Vendor
    • Address and escalate outstanding returns credits with the DC Claims Departments
    • Address long outstanding goods receipts with the Regions/DC SIT Departments
    • Review the accountant’s monthly DC Report, and compare to SAP items not yet cleared
    • Prepare explanations for long outstanding entries still reflecting on the DC Report
    • Adhere to established working routines and processes
