Demand and Planning Specialist at Financial Intelligence Centre (FIC)

JOB PURPOSE :

• Develop and implement the demand management and planning framework in compliance with applicable legislation/ regulations to enable effective and efficient service delivery to stakeholders

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Demand Management and Planning 

•     Implement of the overall demand function, including demand strategy, demand forecasting, capital, and operational planning
•     Develop of the demand management systems, policies, and procedures
•     Developing the forecasting and procurement plans 
•     Render an advisory service to the organisation on demand management processes and ensure adherence to supply chain management (SCM) policies and procedures.
•     Provide information and reports to all relevant stakeholders.
•     Establish and management of the Bid Specification Committee, including processes and procedures governing the committee.
•     Provide reports to all stakeholders regarding demand management.
•     Ensure that reports on the performance of all suppliers/service providers are submitted by the due dates.
•     Provide demand and planning guidance to the SCM function and all relevant stakeholders.

Client Relationship Management

•     Build and maintain relationships with end-users in service departments.
•     Provide advisory service in demand and planning matters.
•     Provide input into the development of the Service Level Agreements (SLAs) between the supply chain unit and internal clients.

Legislative Compliance

•     Ensure compliance with relevant legislation i.e. PFMA, Treasury Regulations, PPPFA and related regulations as well as all other related legislation/ regulations

EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

•     A recognised degree in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing Management, Logistics Management or Public Administration Management
•     Knowledge of the Tender Procedures, Bid Committees and Contract Management will be required.
•     Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Supply Chain Management – Demand environment
•     Public sector experience will be an advantage
