Demand and Supply Planner - Kempton Park at Xylem Inc.

• The Demand and Supply planner’s main responsibilities are to liaise with the Sales team and other stakeholders to define a monthly demand forecast and based on this forecast and other input prepare and execute the supply plan. The role is also responsible for various aspects of the SIOP process and inventory management.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)

• Manage the S&OP process for Xylem Africa including demand planning, supply planning and executive consensus sign-off
• Conduct capacity and performance analyses for Assembly shop to ensure alignment with S&OP plan
• Conducts risk assessments on product availability, supply & demand trends, and risk mitigation
• Prepare material for and lead meetings as part of the S&OP process (demand review, supply review, executive review etc.)
• Actively seek way to improve S&OP process maturity
• Updating of XPS S&OP Maturity Assessment

Inventory

• Be the local superuser of the Global Inventory Management (GIM) analysis and planning system
• Responsible for Master Data maintenance in the ERP system and interface with GIM
• Implement Corporate inventory control procedures, with local adaptations as required
• Dispose of and prevent future Excess and Obsolete Inventory
• Optimize inventory levels while maximizing stock availability and sales order fulfilment
• Manage phase-in/phase-out of stock as driven by change management, ECR/ECN
• Support new product introduction
• Updating of XPS S&OP Inventory Assessment
• Share delivery information with internal stakeholders
• Lead inventory reduction projects and activities

Stock replenishment

• Manage and maintain appropriate stock parameters such as reordering points, safety stock, EOQ etc.
• Analyze historical consumption as basis for stock replenishment

• Suppliers, Customers, Logistics Providers, Consulting companies

• Effectively communicate with internal and external suppliers, sourcing, sales, distribution centers and finance functions at all staff levels to ensure goal fulfillment for Xylem.

• Actively optimize optimal S&OP and inventory processes to increase service while decreasing inventory.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Operations, Engineering, Business or similar

Minimum Experience

• Minimum 3+ years’ relevant experience in a similar role. Industry experience
• APICS, Lean Six Sigma, CSCP certification a plus
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, databases, and ERP systems (e.g. SAP, ISCALA)
• Excellent written and verbal English skills, with other languages an asset
• Advanced analytical mindset coupled with a strong business acumen to deliver measurable results
• Strong knowledge of Supply Chain concepts and their contribution to overall company targets
• Aptitude for problem solving, troubleshooting and excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a team and individually
• Ability to work with both local and remote staff & colleagues from multiple cultural backgrounds
