    Demand Planner

    Ensure the effective planning and execution of the demand forecast of both the local and export markets to meet set Customer Service and Inventory/Net working capital objectives
    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

    •      A minimum of 7 years proven experience in supply chain including but not limited to inventory management, planning and project/promo management
    •      Bachelor’s degree in a business related discipline would be an advantage

    •  Strong problem solving capabilities with a proven ability to analyze and make recommendations
    •  Demonstrated ability to be proactive and anticipate job requirements; takes ownership to resolve issues
    •  Effective planning and execution skills.
    •  Proven ability to plan while juggling multiple priorities with a proven ability to set goals and prioritize among many important projects.
    •  Ability to work independently, make decisions where appropriate and meet predetermined and unexpected deadlines.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & REQUIREMENTS:

    •  Responsible to support the Senior Demand & Replenishment Manager to execute Planning Excellence development especially implementation of global and local continuous improvement initiatives.
    •  Implement Core Planning best practices using available ERP platforms, applying clearly defined weekly deliverables and planning parameters
    •  Ensure all relevant finished goods manufacturing sites receive the forward operating plan for a rolling 12 months via AS400/Partner cast or other and constantly monitor output versus requirement.
    •  Timely Compiling /monitoring and tracking reports as agreed with the Senior DRP Manager and follow through on Corrective Actions, providing appropriate communication to all stake holders.
    •  Timeous expediting and deferring of orders to minimize OOS and missed sales/excess stock.
    •  Accountable to ensure minimum OOS situations, be pro-active to find solutions and minimize impact.
    •  Work closely with all Supply Chain functions, Marketing, & Sales to support all new product launches and product transitions while achieving performance targets on service level, working capital, and waste.
    •  Develops multiple scenarios, articulates key decisions and recommendations to Supply Chain Delivery Leadership team highlighting service, inventory and cost trade-offs using planning toolkit to build optimal level of inventory across all the categories
    •  Ensure that finished goods inventory targets by SKU are developed and maintained based on service level objectives, forecast error, and replenishment lead times. Review Set safety stock parameter to offset forecast inaccuracy and supply chain responsiveness.
    •  Minimize working capital costs by identifying opportunities to decrease finished goods inventories while delivering against service level objectives
    •  Proactively monitor Slow Moving and Obsolete stock throughout the entire process, working with Marketing to monitor new products and proactively adjust production, and with Sales to identify and execute run out strategies.
    •  Develop, update, review and maintain all relevant finished goods manufacturing plant capacity plans using available & new tools such as Rough Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP), to support analysis and making recommendations for capacity constraints. Using capacity analysis to proactively manage capacity constraints Monthly, Quarterly and annually based upon monthly and annual forecast volumes and escalate with mitigation actions to Senior DRP Manager.
    •  Own/Chair the monthly Supply Review meetings as part of the S&OP cycle where key constraints/opportunities are identified on service and inventory
    •  Initiate/Follow through on continuous improvement projects and / or efficiency plays in the evolution of the supply planning strategy within the Business Unit.
