Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BChD) or equivalent qualification.
• Registered with the HPCSA.
• Beneficial: Vehicle and valid Driver’s License.
• Completion of community service is required.
• Minimum 1 year of post-community service experience is required.
• Proficiency in general dentistry procedures, including examinations, restorations, extractions, and root canals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong patient care and ethical approach to dentistry.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive oral examinations and provide accurate diagnoses.
• Conduct routine and specialised dental procedures, including fillings, extractions, and root canal treatments.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventative care, and treatment options.
• Develop personalised treatment plans for patients based on their needs.
• Maintain accurate patient records and comply with HPCSA regulations.
• Ensure infection control and sterilisation protocols are followed at all times.
• Work collaboratively with dental assistants and administrative staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
• Stay updated with advancements in dentistry and continuously improve skills through professional development.
