Depot Controller (Bloemfontein) at RCL Foods

Job Description    
RCL FOODS is currently looking for a Depot Controller to join the Sugar and Milling – Baking Division. The role will be based in the Bloemfontein Depot and will report to the Distribution Manager/Bakery Manager.

The successful incumbent will be responsible for increasing volumes and maintaining a cost-effective delivery system for the depot.
Minimum Requirements    

• Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain or Logistics Management with knowledge of sales and marketing/business management or relevant qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an FMCG environment.
• Previous experience managing warehousing, distribution, and stock control.

Duties & Responsibilities    

• Manage driver shorts and outstanding.
• Achieve sales targets.
• Increase sales volumes in general trade, forecourts and chain stores.
• Manage promotions and competitions.
• Manage and control baskets.
• To ensure efficient fleet maintenance and effective consumption controls.
• Perform daily stock reconciliations and driver balancing.
• Reduce returns from the routes to a bare minimum.
• Arrange and control promotions.
• Manage Depot team and daily HR requirements.
• Manage employees by ensuring service and performance levels are maintained and met.
• Actively report, manage, and monitor daily depot activities in respect of identified and agreed KPI’s.
• Training, interacting, and communicating on standard measurements and compliance with personnel.
• Through analysis by conceptualisation, redesign and implementation of improved business processes improve effectiveness and efficiency.
