Vacant position available with our Operational Team. This position is based in East London at Interwaste depot facility.

Position Description:

• The Incumbent will be based in East London and will be responsible person for the Interwaste East London Depot.
• Technical knowledge of waste collection equipment and good people management skills.
• Oversee administrative, operational, IR and general day to day functions.
• Identify new business opportunities and increase customer base with the support of the Regional Manager.
• Ensure service excellence to clients to ensure the business meets all SLA’s.
• Manage operational and overhead costs aligned to approved budget.
• Optimize operational efficiencies in such a way that company resources are utilized to their full potential.
• Client liaison and account management of local customer base.
• Implement continual improvement initiatives at existing/new clients to ensure maximum value to clients.
• Implementation of company policies thereby safe guarding business concerns and ensuring good corporate governance. 
• Appointed custodian of company DriveCam, SHEQ reporting system and any other company IT solutions used to aid business units.
• Enforcing company’s disciplinary code of conduct when required.
• Responsible for monthly reporting to Regional Manager on business performance with focus on stipulated KPI’s.
• Availability after hours when required.

Position Requirements:

• National diploma/degree in Logistics preferred
• BCOM or similar will be an advantage 
• Sales experience an advantage 
• 5 years Operational experience a minimum requirement 
• Ability to work independently and results driven
• Local resident preferred 
• Must be in possession of full driver’s license
