    Deputy Director: Reporting Coordination and Professional Development, Ref No. DOI 30/2025

    Job Purpose    

    • The Department of Infrastructure, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to manage the process for the coordination and facilitation of all administrative aspects as well as professional development and roads candidate programme for the roads branch.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification); A minimum of 3 years management level experience.

    Recommendation    

    • An appropriate post graduate qualification; Public sector management level expierence in Human Resource, Finance, Monitoring Reporting, Roads Branch or Communications; Knowledge of Infrastructure reporting and Roads Branch related development; Willingness to travel as required.

    Key Performance Areas    

    • Manage and oversee the resources responsible for the achievement of component goals; Ensure compliance with relevant legislative, statutory, regulatory and supervisory requirements towards the achievement of component projects and goals; Manage the professional development and candidate programme within the roads Branch; Ensure effecient and effective oversight and management for all financial resources/aspects of the Subdirectorate and all performance requirements as related to the PFMA and corporate governance; Manage information (data, knowledge, wisdom) by applying tools and technologies to inform decision-making in government operations, produce reports, enhance service delivery, support transparency, support integration and collaboration across departments government spheres; People management.

    Competencies    

    • Knowledge of the following: Applicable policies, legislation, guidelines, standards and procedures; Project Managment; Skills Development frameworks; Coordination of people and resources; Formal Training. Skills needed: Communication (written and verbal); Numeracy; Literacy; Driving; Typing; Computer Literacy; Language.
