Key Performance Areas (KPIs)

The below listed responsibilities and requirements are assessed during the interview and will further be confirmed with the relevant professional references that you currently are or have reported to in your previously two positions.

• Define survey requirements and review on receipt.
• Implement geometric design setting out data for construction.
• Implement road drainage design and setting out data for construction.
• Design traffic accommodation, produce drawings and schedule of quantities.
• Provide road data to bridge team.
• Ensure CAD staff well briefed on road drawings and setting out data.
• Liaison with pavement and bridge / hydraulic designers.
• Road marking and signage design.
• Review and sign off final designs.
• Produce Design Reports.
• Produce final quantities for roadworks and road drainage.
• Produce specification for roadworks and road drainage.
• Produce tender documents & technical papers (internally and externally).
• Design and Project Management of roads projects.
• Fulfils the role of Design Review Engineer.
• Train and mentor junior employees.
• Client Contact as Technical Specialist.

Requirements

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

• BSc/BTech Civil Eng.
• ECSA professional registration.

Experience:

• Minimum of 10 years post degree roads experience.
• Experience working on SANRAL projects.
• 5 to 10 years of design and project management experience on major roads.
