We are proudly supporting a leading software solutions company who are based in Cape Town. My client seeks to employ Back-end developers to join their team. They are looking to fill both intermediate and senior positions within the company. There is an option for remote work if need be.

My client offers a non corporate work environment, within a well support team. There is plenty of room for growth and development, and you will be encouraged to develop your programming skills as well as learn new languages if you wish.

Your main responsibility as a back-end developer will be to build scalable applications with a focus on functionality, security and reliability of the tech stack

Responsibilities

• Architecting and implementing back-ends and their interactions
• Deploying, designing and developing software
• Implementing robust automated test suites
• DevOps
• Build and maintain relationships
• Research new tech
• coding and debugging
• Build code and libraries

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor Degree
• 6+ years experience in development (2+ years Node.JS)
• Expert in Java or .Net
• Practical knowledge of at least one database system, e.g. PostgreSQL/MongoDB,
• API creation

Nice to have

• Docker/Kubernetes/AWS deployment
• Knowledge of testing JavaScript code (Jest/Mocha/Chai/CodeceptJS)
• Automated software testing
