Devops Engineer at Apex Visibility

We are looking for a skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our team. You should have extensive experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and related technologies. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for provisioning cloud services for engineers, managing CI/CD pipelines, monitoring and maintaining running applications on Kubernetes, and various network infrastructure. You will work closely with other teams to ensure smooth operations and continuous improvement of our infrastructure.

Apex provides customer service software that enables businesses to communicate with people using chatbots and live chat on platforms like WhatsApp, Messenger, Web chat, Telegram and more. We use AWS as our primary cloud services provider and use the following technologies in our stack:

•  AWS (EKS, ELB, Aurora S3, SES, Lambda etc)
•  Spring Boot and Spring Reactive Running on EKS
•  React for our frontend
•  GitLab for source version control and build pipeline

Experience:

•  Extensive experience with provisioning and managing AWS.
•  Good knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
•  Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
•  Expertise in continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices
•  Understanding of networking protocols and infrastructure components such as load balancers and firewalls
•  Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Graylog, LinkerD
•  Experience with managing, migrating, updating and replicating databases and such as MySQL, Aurora
•  Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
•  Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams

Duties and responsibilities:

•  Provision cloud services and infrastructure for developers and other teams
•  Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous software releases
•  Manage and monitor running applications on Kubernetes
•  Troubleshoot issues with infrastructure and applications
•  Manage various infrastructure related migration and upgrade
•  Ensure the security and reliability of our systems and respond to any service incidents
•  Assist with various network configurations
•  Work on cost saving initiatives
•  Collaborate with other engineers to design and implement scalable and reliable systems
