DevOps Manager at MTN

Core purpose of the Job:

• The DevOps manager’s role is to build and manage a DevOps team and to develop, maintain and own the end-to-end SDLC related to service delivery within the Digital Channels Technology teams. The DevOps manager will play a central role in the design, development, and delivery of MTN’s products and services, maintaining all development and supporting production systems.

Job Requirements
Education:

• 3-year degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science or related
• Fluent in English

Experience:

• 6 years and more development experience in Java
• Development experience in other languages and frameworks, e.g. PHP, Angular, Node, Python, Apigee etc.
• Demonstrated experience with DevOps tools and concepts like CI/CD, Docker containers etc.
• Demonstrated experience with Open-source environments and tools like FreeBSD, Linux, GIT, Maven etc.
• Demonstrated experience with complex integration environments through SOA, SOAP, RESTful Webservices
• Agile delivery methods e.g. Scrum, Kanban

Training:

• Formal or online certification related to development or operations.
• Java, Python, Perl, SQL, Systems Design and Architecture, Database Design, Agile Delivery Methodology, DevOps Tools and Culture, Open Source.
