Grade 12 (Matric) Certificate. National Diploma/ Degree in Diagnostic Radiography. Registration with the HPCSA as a Diagnostic Radiographer r(Independent Practice). Current registration as a Diagnostic Radiographer (2023/2024).
Grade 1: No Experience after registration with HPCSA in respect of RSA qualified who have performed community services, and 1 year appropriate/recognizable experience in respect of foreign qualified not required to perform community service.
Grade 2: Minimum of 10 years appropriate/recognizable experience after registration as a Radiographer with the HPCSA in respect of RSA qualified who have performed community services,
and 11 years appropriate/ recognizable experience after registration as a Radiographer with the HPCSA in respect of foreign qualified not appropriate/recognizable experience after registration as a Radiographer with the HPCSA in respect of RSA qualified who have performed community as a Radiographer with the HPCSA in respect of foreign qualified not required to perform community service.
NB: only short-listed candidates will be required to submit certified documents and certificate of service on or before day of the interview following communication from Human Resource. Current registration with Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Diagnostic Radiographer (2025/2026). Submit proof of working experience (service record) endorsed by Human Resource.
Duties:
Ensure patient care during imaging for optimal diagnostic purpose. Practice radiation protection to minimise radiation dose to staff, patients and general public. Exercise clinical responsibility to ensure optimal diagnostic imaging.
Participate in Education and training programs for continuous professional development and quality service delivery. Implement quality assurance programs for quality service delivery.
