Liaison between the WP and Boland newsroom and Netwerk24/News24;
Ensure that the websites and social media platforms are updated daily with fresh content, as well as “clean-up” the stories that pull through automatically on newspaper publication days;
Liaise with editors and journalists about digital first angles as well as multimedia content on all their stories;
Uploading digital content
Analysing stats and help identify possible follow-ups on stories performing well;
Identify features/events that could be packaged into online news content;
Lead the WP Media digital hub and co-ordinate with Boland Media journalists
Must have digital subbing experience;
Must have good knowledge of social media engagement;
Must have firm knowledge of online media law;
Video editing/production (as well as other newspaper production experience, like layout) will be a plus.

Produce/Manage sports print content for People’s Post weekly
Qualifications and experience:
Grade 12 with higher education in journalism or marketing communication.
Min 3 years’ online advertising/trafficking campaign administration experience in an online advertising environment
Proficiency in relevant software packages and applications
Skills and competencies
Ability to create and maintain good relationships with client accounts
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Ability to multitask
Confident with the ability to self-manage activities, yet able to work very closely with a team Attention to detail
