Digital Designer at Monocle

What are we looking for:

• Monocle is looking for a Digital Designer to join our dynamic and growing marketing team and form part of delivering the full end-to-end marketing and advertising offering to a broad range of Monocle requirements and stakeholders.
• The candidate would work within the broader marketing team to create compelling, innovative and professional content across Monocles digital communication channels. You will work closely with the marketing team to develop and execute creative concepts to further Monocle's brand identity and communication.
• As a Digital Designer you should have a passion for building brands through design, an innovative mindset, strong attention to detail, comprehensive understanding of digital marketing channels and keen communication capabilities. As a Digital Designer at Monocle your main tasks and responsibilities will include supporting the marketing team to:

• Be a key custodian for Monocles CI and ensure all communication is considered, professional, creative and world-class in execution.
• Develop social media content for the Monocle brand.
• Assist with visual updates and CX improvements to our website.
• Build compelling comms to attract South Africa's top talent to Monocle, working alongside our talented People & Culture team.
• Support business development and research by designing brand and thought leadership content in a way that puts us ahead of the big traditional consultancies.
• Step up the executional level of our internal communications.
• Take quality photography and videography content of Monocle activities and events.
• Stay on top of current and future design trends, platforms and technologies as well as understand the CIs and creative work of our competitors.
• Build out how design and creativity can be an integral tool to deliver on our marketing objectives.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute creative concepts that align with Monocle's brand identity and messaging.
• Help develop the Monocle culture through how our staff see Monocle.

The successful candidate must have the following requirements:

• Holds a relevant design degree from a reputable tertiary institution.
• Minimum 2 to 3 years of design work experience.
• Hands on experience creating social media content for a corporate brand.
• Is capable in photography and videography.

Strong in:

• Photoshop
• InDesign
• Premier Pro
• After Effects
• Has a strong portfolio of work showcasing a variety of digital design projects.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and project management abilities.
• A team player able to effectively function and deal with stakeholders across the business.
• Creative and proactive.
• An interest in banking and insurance.
