    Digital Marketing and eCommerce specialist

    Key Result Areas: (Major Accountabilities)

    • Orchestrate all aspects of a strategic e-commerce plan. 
    • Combined expertise in sales, marketing, technology and management to deliver a superior brand and shopping experience for all customers.
    • Design and implement company digital strategies within budget requirements
    •  To plan, develop, deploy, and maintain website content, digital content, mobile applications, and social media content
    • Ensure smooth operation for all digital tools and applications
    • Provide thought leadership, innovation and process optimization initiatives such as implementing e-commerce software and other industry best practices.
    • Oversee the e-commerce website of a brand. Manage the overall user experience, including site navigation, content development, checkout funnel and promotional campaigns.
    • Be a key component in developing the effective planning and execution of an e-commerce strategy, working cross-functionally with teams to ensure QA and timely publishing of all web content.
    • Provides management information system user support on a continuing basis either by phone or site
    • Troubleshoots end-user problems, and analyses, designs and develops software modifications to meet users' needs.
    • Participate in building and directing a team of e-commerce professionals that can effectively help develop and execute creative e-commerce solutions.
    • Direct integrated campaigns that will deliver an increase in conversion rates, overall order size and managing margin performance across a variety of product lines.
    • Own and manage Internet marketing solutions, social media integration, SEO and other monitoring methodologies and analytics.
    • Identify new areas of e-commerce opportunity beyond the current brand offering.
    • Manage all strategic partnerships with partners and do SLA’s
    • Oversee full Operations and movement of stock from beginning to end. Implement new process and systems to ensure a customer service-centric brand promise delivery on all ends
    • People Management and Leadership across all parts of the business driving excellence

    Knowledge:

    • Professional in the digital retailing market, B2B and B2C experience a plus.
    • Extensive knowledge of e-commerce technologies and tactics
    • A self-described data wizard able to interpret data and draw conclusions to implement new e-commerce strategies.
    • Proven leader with experience in both managing teams and execution of large eCommerce projects.
    • Demonstrated strong business judgment and decision-making skills; ability to identify, prioritize, and articulate highest impact initiatives.
    • Proven success developing, executing, and maintaining sophisticated digital commerce brand strategies
    • Strategic development of successful digital marketing campaigns across multiple platforms, search engine optimisation skills (SEO), and content writing

    Skills:

    • Proven work experience as a Digital e-commerce director
    • Solid experience with online marketing tools and web-based technologies
    • Understanding of how digital channels work
    • Hands-on experience with SEO/SEM and CRM software
    • Familiarity with Google Analytics
    • Excellent interpersonal and team management skills
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Strong Operational and People skill

    • Manage, monitor, optimize, analyze, and report on campaigns, particularly weekly, quarterly and end of campaign reports

    Educational Background:

    • The ideal candidate has a degree in Marketing, Digital technologies or relevant related domain; a business degree, e.g. BA, Bcomm or BSC equivalent would be a strong asset. 

    Professional Experience:

    A minimum of 5-15 years’ experience in the relevant field.
