    Digital Marketing Specialist

    Job Description

    • Adding, editing and reviewing content (web pages, PDFs, CSV files) on the public facing websites (South Africa, Botswana and Namibia) via the content management system, intranet and Sharepoint.
    • Ensuring this content and the broader website is optimized for search engines.
    • Managing social media accounts, posting, monitoring and responding.
    • Analytics reporting across various digital activities.

    Responsibilities
    Web content

    • Collaboration with internal stakeholders regarding website content updates.
    • Create new pages on the public websites containing content generated by the communications team and other internal stakeholders.
    • Editing existing pages on the public websites.
    • Uploading and reviewing of monthly fact sheets to websites.
    • Uploading and reviewing of monthly fund performance data to the websites.

    Search engine optimization (SEO)

    • Ongoing review of the public facing website for SEO enhancements.
    • Management and implementation of SEO activities.

    Social media

    • Collaboration with internal stakeholders regarding social media content creation.
    • Schedule social media posts based on social media calendar.
    • Monitor social media channels for direct messages, comments and mentions.
    • Raise social media queries/complaints to the correct channels following the approved process, logging all complaints.
    • Proactive monitoring competitor and non-competitor accounts, informing marketing of emerging trends.

    Analytics

    • Monthly analytics reporting across website, social media and digital advertising.
    • Digital advertising campaign reporting.
    • Ad-hoc reporting. 

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Tertiary qualification e.g. BA (Marketing), B.Com (Marketing, Economics, Finance), B.Bus.Sc (Marketing, Economics, Finance).
    • Proven track record of strong performance.
    • A demonstrated interest and / or passion in website UX and design,
    • Experience editing website content, SEO optimization and analytics reporting.
    • A technical understanding of content management systems e.g.  Intranets, Sharepoint, Optimisely or other CMS’s.
    • Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Tag Manager (GTM) or similar platforms.
    • Management of social media accounts covering LinkedIn as a minimum requirement, with other platform experience beneficial.
    • Experience using online reputation management platforms such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Meltwater etc.
