    Executive Assistant - (1336)

    Profile Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field preferred. Honours Degree will be advantageous.
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional and courteous demeanor.
    • Excellent stakeholder management.
    • Highly collaborative and approachable with strong soft skills and ability to lead a team.
    • High level of organization, attention to detail, professionalism, and reliability.

    Experience:

    • 5 - 8 years of proven experience as an executive assistant or administrative assistant, preferably in a human resources or corporate environment.
    • Proficiency in office software such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    • Ability to priorities and manage work in a fast-paced environment across multiple projects and work streams with competing time/resource demands.

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Head of HR, including managing calendars, scheduling appointments, handling correspondence, and organizing documents.
    • Arrange and coordinate meetings, conferences, and appointments for the Head of HR, ensuring all necessary resources and materials are prepared in advance.
    • Act as a primary point of contact for internal and external communications, filtering and prioritizing correspondence, phone calls, and emails on behalf of the Head of HR.
    • Make travel arrangements, including flights, accommodations, and transportation, for the Head of HR as required.
    • Prepare and edit documents, presentations, and reports for the HR department, ensuring accuracy and professionalism.
    • Maintain and organize confidential HR files, records, and databases, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
    • Support HR-led change initiatives by developing communication materials that address employee concerns, promote understanding, and encourage buy-in.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of communication plans to support HR initiatives, including employee engagement programs, policy changes, benefits administration, and talent management processes.
    • Provide communication support for HR-led events, such as town hall meetings, training sessions, workshops, and employee recognition programs, including promotional materials and event coordination.
    • Maintain confidential records, files, and databases, ensuring accuracy and accessibility while exercising discretion and confidentiality.
    • Assist in the preparation and distribution of reports, presentations, and other materials for internal meetings, board meetings, and executive-level presentations.
    • Conduct research and gather data on HR-related topics, trends, and best practices to support decision-making and strategic initiatives.
    • Undertake special projects and assignments as directed by the Head of HR, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in handling diverse tasks and responsibilities.
    • Collaborate with HR team members, as well as cross-functional teams such as Marketing, IT, and Corporate Communications, to align messaging, branding standards, and communication strategies.
    • Ensure that all communication materials and activities adhere to relevant regulations, policies, and guidelines, including data privacy and confidentiality requirements.

    Mechanical Site Supervisor - FTC - (1335)

    Profile Requirements:

    • Tertiary education in Mechanical Engineering - Minimum NQF level 5
    • Trade Test as artisan

    Experience:

    • 10 - 15 years’ experience in a mechanical construction environment
    • 5 – 10 years’ experience as a Site Supervisor in a high-pressure boiler and power generation environment.
    • Sound knowledge of the Construction Regulations.
    • Valid South African Drivers License

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Supervise effective and safe team functioning of the mechanical erection work.
    • Foster and maintain customer and supplier relations.
    • Ensure a high standard of mechanical construction work.
    • Conduct daily and weekly mechanical equipment erection compliance inspections.
    • Be fully knowledgeable of the technical application of the Pressure Equipment Regulations (PER / SANS347).
    • Make recommendations on technical issues regarding the construction process to upper management.
    • Organize the site technical information so that it is easily accessible to the construction teams.
    • Analyse and improve processes and procedures in the construction area, use the problem-solving tools to identify, analyse and solve problems in the workplace.
    • Contractor daily plans are reviewed and are improved where needed.
    • Barriers in meeting/executing daily plans are identified timorously & corrective action taken.

    Work delays & stoppages are recorded & addressed to minimize schedule delays..

    Chief Fire Officer - (1332)

    Qualifications & Expertise

    • National diploma in Fire Engineering or related field
    • Intermediate Life Support Paramedic (advantageous)
    • Basic life support paramedic (minimum)
    • Supervisory or Management Qualification
    • Hazmat Technician
    • Registered with the HPCSA– BLS Paramedic
    • C1 Drivers License
    • Professional Driving Permit
    • Fire Prevention and Safety Strategies
    • Fire Investigation
    • Incident Commander
    • Snake identification/bite treatment and snake handling
    • Advanced Industrial Fire Fighting
    • Computerized maintenance management system such as SAP
    • Fixed fire detection/suppression system testing/inspection/maintenance regimes
    • MS Office including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook
    • Familiarity with ISO 14001 and 45001 advantageous

    Job Experience

    • 10 Years experience in industrial / Municipal Fire Services in a supervisory/management experience capacity
    • 5 years experience performing an emergency response function – firefighter/paramedic

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Respond to and Manage Fire, Hazmat and medical incidents/emergencies on the site, deploying internal and external resources where required.
    • Fixed and portable fire equipment inspections/maintenance including risk mitigation
    • Fire prevention audits
    • Fire investigations
    • High fire risk maintenance work mitigations
    • Operational and maintenance expenses related to the emergency team
    • Job Observations/ Behavioural based audits/engagement board sessions
    • Planning of actions derived from drills/audits/incidents
    • Review and continuously improve existing emergency procedures and policies
    • Review and update emergency training requirements for the mill and department as required
    • Legal compliance of emergency equipment
    • Plan emergency response drills and training exercises
    • Emergency equipment licenses and certifications
    • Capital equipment replacements and upgrades related to the emergency team as well as fixed fire systems within the mill
    • Engagements with local authorities and industries for cross training/drills
    • Accountable for the readiness of the emergency response team
    • Accountable for the readiness of emergency response equipment and installations
    • Accountable for emergency response/readiness engagements with local authorities and neighbouring communities
    • Accountable for the implementation of fire prevention strategies inter alia including hot work control.
