    Supervisor

    PURPOSE:

    • To ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the production plant, maximizing performance while consistently meeting customer expectations, quality standards, and safety requirements. 

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

    GUIDE, DIRECT AND OVERSEE THE TEAMS WITH OVERALL COMPANY OBJECTIVES

    • Monitor and manage absenteeism, arrange and conduct absenteeism counselling's and referrals to the clinic.
    • Ensure competencies of staff, plan skills development with WPT's.
    • Take disciplinary action as and when required, complete incident reports and follow up on enquires.
    • Counsel poor performance.

    MANAGE PRODUCTION OUTPUT TO MEET DEADLINES AND QUALITY REQUIREMENTS
     

    • Monitor yield and labour efficiency

    QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Grade12 certificate or equivalent
    • Relevent NQFNLevel 6 certificate of competency preferably
    • At least 5-10years's relevant production experience.
    • Knowledge of quality systems and health and safety procedures.
    • Knowledge of processing and production processes.

    Financial Manager: Saldanha Operations

    JOB PURPOSE:

    • To manage the financial and management accounting functions and support to the Saldanha Operations (including vessel fleet, factories and support services), which inform sound strategic decision making required to optimise the performance and achieve the goals of the SA Fishing business.

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
    Manage efficient and timeous forecasting and planning:

    • Coordinate and compile operational budgets and forecasts
    • Coordinate and compile CAPEX budgets and forecasts, including business motivations supported by business cases

    • Manage month-end closure processes
    • Manage the collation of timeous and accurate operational and financial data

    Financial Manager: SA Fishing

    JOB PURPOSE:

    • To oversee and manage the Finance and Payroll function of SA Fishing. This role is responsible for delivering consolidated financial information, annual statements, IFRS and other reporting packs to support sound financial decision-making and ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements.

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

    Duties include but will not be limited to:

    Manage and oversee compilation of IFRS compliant, accurate and timeous financial information, Annual financial statements and quarterly reporting packs

    • Manage the compilation of monthly trial balance
    • Monthly review of balance sheet reconciliations
    • Oversee preparation and review of balance sheet for forecasts and budget
    • Oversee quarterly and annual SARB reporting

    Ensure compliant, timeous and accurate tax reporting and efficient administration

    • Oversee the preparation and review provisional tax calculations for SA Fishing and other Group entities
    • Oversee the preparation and review of year end tax calculation and tax returns
    • Maintain overall view of Tax compliance of SA Fishing and other Group entities (VAT, PAYE, Income Tax)

    Oversee debtors, creditors, cashbook and payments processes

    • Ensure appropriate credit management and timely collection of debtors
    • Ensure appropriate management of creditors payments
    • Manage cashflow, ensuring availability of cash to affect payments

    Oversee Fixed Assets and finance-related projects

    • Ensure accuracy and completeness of Fixed Asset and Tax Asset Register

    Manage payroll function, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations

    • Ensure accuracy and completeness of payments to employees
    • Ensure accuracy and completeness of payments to payroll related third parties including but not limited to medical aids, pension funds, SARS, Unions etc
    • Oversee the preparation of the salary budget

    Assistant Stock Controller

    JOB PURPOSE:
    The Assistant Stock Controller will be responsible for the following:

    • Assist the Stock Controller in his responsibilities of managing of stock-holding in order to provide an excellent support service to the business and to receive and distribute goods procured.
    • Be responsible for Store-keeping requirements and assist the team of Storemen with their duties.

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

    Management of stock levels:

    • Take responsibility for stock under control.
    • Reduce stock to minimum level that still support operations without running out of stock.
    • Assist Store Manager with the management and maintenance of optimum stock levels.

    Service Level:

    • Provide a support service to all departments.
    • Investigate and action queries promptly.
    • Liaise with suppliers in terms of the logistics of deliveries.

     Compliance:

    • Conduct work in line with policies and procedures.
    • Assist with stock counts.
    • Responsible for transfer and receipt transactions of fuel and other stock items as required.
    • Audit of transfer orders, shipment of orders and GRVs.

    House Keeping:

    • Compliance with housekeeping standards and procedures – Safety, Environment and Food Safety.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

    • Matric
    • Storekeeping/Warehousing qualification
    • At least 5 years’ experience in storekeeping/warehousing and stock management/ordering
    • Exposure to Microsoft Navision(NAV) would be advantageous.
