• We’re on the hunt for a digitally-savvy, creative individual to join our dynamic team as a Digital & Social Media Interns. This is your chance to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced newsroom that covers stories from every corner of the world.

Position Overview:

• As a Digital Intern, you’ll help shape how we tell stories online – amplifying our journalism across platforms and engaging audiences with compelling, timely content. Applicants may be based in the Eastern Cape, Western Cape, Free State, or Gauteng.

Key Duties and Responsibilities    

• Create engaging content for various social media platforms
• Assist with scheduling and posting content
• Monitor social media performance and engagement
• Research industry trends and competitor activities
• Participate in brainstorming sessions for new digital campaigns

Educational Requirements    

• A completed related tertiary qualification, or in the process of completing a qualification at a TVET/College

Skills and Competencies    

• Working knowledge of all major social media platforms
• A curious mind, creative flair, and strong communication skills
• Self-driven with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Basic computer literacy and online proficiency
