    Artisan Assistant (Semi-Skilled Electrician)

    KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

    • Peform basic electrical repairs, lighting etc.
    • Provide assistance to artisans
    • Adhering to all health and safety requirements related to observing equipment and machinery to verify efficient and safe operation
    • Carry out repairs on electrical equipment in the electrical workshop
    • Maintain housekeeping standards in the electrical workshop

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    Section Store Controller

    • Novus Print: Montague Gardens is seeking to appoint a diligent Section Store Controller with a high regard for detail to transport and load production material by prescribed procedures and principles while maintaining safe occupational health and safety standards. The successful incumbent will report directly to the Shift Leader.
    • Recording of data from the tracking card
    • Check sections received are of a high quality and within binding specifications
    • Housekeeping / organizing and planning of store layout
    • Co-ordinate and supervise activities of trolley driver

    Bagmaking Operator - ITB

    Key Duties and Responsibilities    

    • To ensure that the correct material is converted on machines and must be in line with the requirements of the job card.
    • To set the job on the machines guided by the works instruction, set- up procedure and relevant SOP in accordance with the Job card, Master Sample and Artwork.
    • To capture and record production information on ITB’s computerised operating system “Customs 2”.
    • To record relevant production information in production logbooks.
    • To ensure that the bags are packed in accordance with the packing instructions on the relevant job cards.
    • To ensure that all scrap is removed during production run, weighed, recorded, and labelled.
    • To conduct random quality inspection as per the Bagmaking works instruction and record results of tests in electronic Quality Records on Customs as per the Bagmaking quality works instruction.
    • To continuously perform trouble shooting on machines whenever necessary.
    • To comply with all ITB’s policies and procedures including but not limited to Health & Safety, General Workplace policies, Quality & Food packaging safety, standard operating procedure etc.

    Educational Requirements    

    • Have completed Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent.

    Experience Requirements    

    • At least 4 years’ experience in the plastic industry (packaging).
    • At least 2 years’ experience operating conversion machines.
    • Fair knowledge of ISO 9001: 2001 Quality standards

    Skills and Competencies    

    • Be able to set and operate bagmaking machines (plastic packaging)
    • Be physically fit and strong due to the job requirement and specification.
    • Be mechanically minded and have ability to perform basic machine maintenance.
    • Be able to work well under pressure.
    • Be able to read speak and write English.
    • Be computer literate.

    Content Manager

    Job Description    

    • Join Novus Media Sport, the powerhouse behind KickOff and Soccer Laduma, as we shape the future of digital football media. We’re looking for a strategic and experienced digital editorial leader to drive our content production team and lead innovation across platforms — including a pioneering AI-first initiative. The successful candidate will oversee the daily workflow of the content team, ensuring alignment with business needs, editorial best practices, and overall production goals. While editorial production is the core responsibility, the role also requires close collaboration with commercial teams—especially around native content, sales campaigns, and content optimisation.
    • This is an on-site role based at our Cape Town head office (Western Cape), reporting to the Digital Operations Officer. The candidate will be required to have a relevant tertiary qualification and have a minimum of 3-5 years of editorial experience.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Manage digital editorial best practices.
    • Bridge commercial needs with editorial production.
    • Manage the content for the editorial and sales campaigns.
    • Drive, manage and create content for the publications’ new AI first and automation multi-media production process.
    • Ensure consistent coverage and oversight of the digital production desk.
    • Provide regular support and coverage for content managers as needed.

    Educational Requirements    

    • Completed a national degree or diploma in English, journalism or media studies, or demonstrate the ability to deliver on the expectations.

    Experience Requirements    

    • At least three years’ experience in content management and subbing. 
    • Must have a sound knowledge of football, either local or international, or both. 
    • Strong, up-to-date knowledge of local and/or international football is essential. You should actively follow the sport and be familiar with key developments, leagues, and players.
    • Experience in problem solving.
    • A background on all mainstream social media platforms.
    • Basic understanding of AI tools and how they apply to content creation and multimedia production.
