    • Verify quantities, grades, temperatures, certificates, and supplier paperwork against purchase orders.
    • Reject or quarantine non-conforming stock, raising discrepancies with procurement and suppliers.
    • Label, batch, and store products correctly, maintaining cold chain integrity and accurate records for traceability.
    • Build daily pick lists and supervise picking, packing, weighing, and loading processes.
    • Coordinate delivery schedules, resolve issues with late or incomplete loads, and manage documentation such as delivery notes and proof of delivery.
    • Prioritize retail and production needs, manage stock counts, and investigate shrinkage, short-dates, and temperature excursions.
    • Work closely with production on yield and movement of by-products to optimise resources.
    • Enforce FIFO/FEFO, monitor equipment like fridges and freezers, and escalate failures promptly.
    • Apply HACCP standards, support audits, and ensure compliance with legal labelling and allergen regulations.
    • Lead and motivate receiving and dispatch staff, manage rosters, train, and evaluate performance.
    • Liaise with stakeholders across retail, production, sales, procurement, and accounts to ensure smooth operations.
    • Continuously improve layouts, SOPs, and KPIs such as on-time dispatch and stock accuracy.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in logistics, preferably within the food industry.
    • Strong understanding of temperature control, FIFO/FEFO, and food safety principles.
    • Proficient with purchase orders, delivery notes, stock systems, and basic Excel/ERP skills.
    • Proven leadership skills in managing small teams in a fast-paced, physical environment.
